Welcome to the DPS Officers Association Scholarship Program.
DPSOA has awarded $846,600 in scholarships over the past seven
academic years to a wide range of talented and deserving students
in the state of Texas. The scholarships are issued in the name
of the academic institutions of the student's choice. The DPS
Officers Association Scholarship Program provides Initial and
Continuing Education Scholarships to qualified individuals. It
is our sincere desire to increase both the number and size of
the scholarships granted. As a non-profit organization DPS Officer’s
Association depends exclusively on donations given by community
groups, businesses, and the public at large to fund this Scholarship
Program.
More than 125 scholarships are made available each year,
to high school students from diverse social, economic, and educational
backgrounds, in pursuit of higher education. Scholarship awards
are granted in recognition of the
student’s academic achievements, community involvement,
and potential for success.
Additionally the DPS Officer’s Association annually awards
the Mark Jeffrey Phebus Endowed Scholarship to a student pursuing
a degree in a law enforcement related Major. The application deadline for this scholarship is June 15 each year. Contact the DPS Officers Association for an application.
