Welcome

Texas Department Of Public Safety Officers Association
Thank you for visiting. We are all about helping Texas State Troopers and their families, and hope to win your support. Troopers, serving to keep us safe, often do not receive adequate pay, training, or equipment. Why is not the issue, it is just a fact. These are special people who have taken on awesome responsibilities, often at extreme risk. It is so like us not to notice the heroes of our society who are always there, until threatened. At such times, perhaps on a dark and lonely highway, a trooper’s hat and uniform are comforting. Next time you see a Trooper say, "Thanks for what you do." DPS Officers Association has accepted the challenge to help our Troopers and our communities through the following programs, funded exclusively by public donations. Pay Comparison

Death Benefits Fund: Trooper’s families are eligible for payment in the amount of $10,000, to help ease the burden of a line of duty loss. More...

Emergency Relief Fund: Trooper’s experiencing a natural disaster, personal hardship, or medical emergency, receive financial assistance through this fund. More...

Anti-Drug Program: this program directly benefits local Drug Abuse Assistance Education, (D.A.R.E.) in high schools and community organizations. More...

Legal Assistance Program: allows Trooper access to a full service law firm providing professional liability representation and other services. More...

Scholarship Program: has awarded $800,000 in scholarships over the past six years to qualified Texas students. More...

Teddy Trooper Program: our way of assisting Troopers in dealing with traumatized children at the scene of an automobile accident, domestic violence, or natural disaster, who receive a teddy bear purchased by our Association. More...

We are committed to excellence in Law Enforcement, and support for the law enforcement community. Established in 1974, now with over 3500 members DPSOA is one of the largest organizations of commissioned law enforcement officers in Texas. DPSOA has always worked closely with the Department of Public Safety Administration, the Texas Legislature, to promote the general welfare of law enforcement officers, department personnel, their families and communities.

This is who we are and what we do. 100% of on line donations actually goes to the work above. Please consider support for the DPS Officers Association. The DPS Officers Association is a private, non-profit association, which is not affiliated with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
